The 19th Judicial District Court, a fifteen-judge court of general jurisdiction located in Baton Rouge seeks a Judicial Administrator to oversee the administration of the court.  The job is an executive-level position involving a broad range of management duties, including supervision of the court’s department heads.

The Judicial Administrator serves the court’s fifteen judges, and works closely with the court’s Chief Judge, serves as the court’s Public Information Officer and also handles all Public Records Requests.  He or she is the liaison with related state and local agencies as well as the Louisiana Supreme Court.

Management experience is preferred as well as two years in Judicial Administration. Familiarity with grant writing, court operations, human resources, technology, and governmental budgeting is helpful.  An advanced degree such as J.D. is preferred, but a M.B.A. or M.P.A. will also be considered. Salary range is $74,675 - $107,502, with the maximum starting salary being $87,410.
