Case Management Scheduling Orders (CMSO):
Parties are encouraged to coordinate and agree upon discovery deadlines by completing the Case Management Scheduling Order (Long Form).If parties are unable to agree on deadlines, they may file a Motion for Status Conference. Parties are encouraged to include their date and time preferences in the body of the motion to assist the Court in scheduling. Please note all conferences are held on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
Pretrial Conferences and Trial Dates:
Trial dates will be assigned only at a pretrial conference.
A pretrial conference will be scheduled once a Joint Pretrial Order has been filed.
No trial dates will be provided without a proper request for a pretrial conference.
Please review the Louisiana District Court Rules for the 19th JDC for additional guidance.

The Honorable Richard "Chip" Moore was born September 30, 1964, in Nashville, Tennessee. He attended Zachary High School, and then continued his education at LSU, graduating in 1988. Judge Moore attended the Southern University Law School, from which he graduated in 1992. Judge Moore has practiced law for nineteen years. He became a District Court Judge in April, 2005.
